From old money to new money: a story about Jay-Z and Warren Buffet
Celebrity photographer Johnny Nunez releases NFT collection on Rarible
What happens when the new and the old systems collide? Johnny Nunez, a legendary celebrity photographer for the likes of Barack Obama, LeBron James and Jennifer Lopez, offers his interpretation.
In his NFT capsule collection consisting of 3 items, Johnny releases rare photos and a story about Jay-Z and Warren Buffet’s meeting.
The purchase of each NFT unlocks Johnny’s narration of the event and an exclusive 1-hour photoshoot in New York City.
The photos place Warren Buffet who has long been a cryptocurrency detractor, often referencing the way he perceives them as “a delusion,” alongside Jay-Z, an active crypto and NFT investor and enthusiast.
This juxtaposition of Buffet and Jay-Z highlights the changing of the guard from old money to new money as we’re entering into the next evolution of financial institutions.
Adapting and evolving through the transition from print to digital photography, moving into the NFT space was the natural next step for Nunez too.
“This is the industry’s future,” he says. And we agree.
